"............."
Waaaah! Dang it my green tea never turns out as good as Kumis.
Whoops, I forgot you haven't played the Legend of Fairies
anime game yet!
Come to think of it...Legend
of Fairies is not really a game at all; as it takes no particular
skills to get to a favorable outcome. It is a "novel" type
of hentai/bishoujo game, which means that there is only one
path. It's a complex story cd with awesome computer graphics
(I'm getting ahead of myself!). Milky House really goes out
on a limb by banking on the viewers enjoying this by use of
a clever story, snappy dialog and the sexiness of the characters.
OK I can hear the groans from here! What I just sit here &
watch? Relax. Put the game in automatic play. Think of it
this way you'll have both hands free during the sex scenes!
The story centers around: two
sisters, Kumi and Koukaku, who are hitokata (animal spirit
fairies) to the shikigami master and "battle Mahjong" player
Jango Abe. The story begins when Mika Koizumi hires our Tobanjan
Fighter Jango Abe to help her find her long-time missing father
Yujiro Koizumi. With me so far! Now for the tricky part, Kumi
& Koukaku are Hitokata from the Mountain God clan of the Oku-Hida
village in Fukui Prefecture, who befriended the Heike family
who fled their enemies during the 4th Yamato age. Phew! See
I have played this game!
Our story follows the initial
three characters: Kumi, Koukaku & Jango through the town of
Showa Dori (Dark Tokyo) to look for anyone who has seen Mika's
father. As the story progresses we run into mostly female
characters willing to play "battle" Mahjong in exchange for
information and if they lose, they remove their clothes and
endure sexual humiliation (in a sweet way of course! Jango
is a really nice guy after all). Poor Jango winds up with
more and more Shikagami to care for, as he gets closer to
finding Yujiro. The good news is he'll need all of their powers
as the game progresses. It will eventually help him escape
the evil clutches of the "organization".
The cynic in me wants to say
that the "battle" Mahjong games are merely excuses to throw
in some sexy scenes but damn if I didn't enjoy them! Favorites
include: Takeo Karniyama the game-room manager and Hyoko the
White tiger "Beastling". Virtually every anime fetish is fulfilled
here: Lordrex the evil beastling, a sexy qi-pao wearing body
guard and even a bar maid "bunny girl". There is straightforward
human/human sex but if you're not interested in furries and
animal spirit sexual humiliation you might be barking up the
wrong tree here. I must admit the original & imaginative characters
kept my interest at a high level and allowed the story to
flow smoothly.
Legend of Fairies is an intriguing story game & awesome CG collection. The story has plenty of interesting plot twists, imaginative & beautiful scenery and some great-uncensored Hentai artwork. I feel it has enough bells and whistles to hold your attention even through some of the dialog that at times can seem somewhat stiff. 3 stars for playability & overall story, 5 stars for the artwork! I should also point out that the game is playable in Italian and English and that it is part 1 in a 2 part series. For Windows and now, for Mac OS X as well!
