The ever popular Akira Fubuki releases her first DVD, thanks
to our friends from Alice Japan. The DVD contains two full
productions, and is entirely in Japanese.
The first part ("An Object of
Passion" which was an entire video release) seems more of
a documentary rather than an adult feature. It shows the full
beauty of Akira in a variety of scenes. This is her debut
video, so in the beginning the director is talking to her
and asking her opinion of what it is to be an adult video
actress, what she thinks her parents will think, etc. In another
scene, a contest was held between two guys to see if one can
finish his slice of watermelon before the other reaches the
room downstairs carrying Akira. The result is both amusing
and entertaining. The sex is also great. In the start, Akira
is so shy since it's her first time to have sex in front of
other people. That shyness is really cute.
The second part (entitled "Dizziness")
is a full production in its own right and shows Akira getting
involved in various themes - performing sex in the office,
costume play (Akira plays a nurse which is a popular fetish
in Japan, an OL ("office lady") and so on). There's even a
rape play at the end which makes it highly recommended for
fans of this theme. Since one of the most memorable parts
of Akira are her round, full breasts, the cameraman found
many inventive ways to film them (so that they're bouncing,
being played with, or hanging down "just so").
There are no extras or bonus
materials included in the disc, although it does give two
full video productions on the DVD (which sort of counts as
an extra, since they were originally release in the short
format on video). It did not maximize the full potential of
the DVD medium by coming up with multi-angled shots or digital
sound, but the price is still worth it. Both productions are
60 minutes in length, which makes it a 120-minute DVD. The
menu is not an animated one -- it is simple and relatively
easy to navigate, so there are no problems for non-Japanese
speakers like me.
Finally, it should be pointed
out that this is a special DVD because it is the only Akira
Fubuki title in print, period. When she retired after her
"sayonara photobook" which was photographed in England, she
disappeared very suddenly and except for this disc, hasn't
been heard of since. We hope to one day find out the story
of the sudden disappearance of Akira-chan from the Japanese
adult video world. But until the answer is made clear, you
can enjoy this, her very nice DVD.
Overall, on a scale of 1 to
5 (5 being the highest), I rate this item as 4.
