Yuka Kotono is one of those AV girls who looks like she never walked off the streets. If you saw her standing in a crowd, you wouldn't know she's involved in the AV industry. I think there's a real difference between the gals of AV in Western countries and those in Japan; it's not a "better" or "worse" deal, I enjoy both types of AV industry productions, but there's a marked difference between a Mimi Miyagi or Asia Carrere (I date myself a bit, as I know both are "mostly" retired) and the average AV maven in Japan. In the US, I don't think I would have a problem spotting Mimi or Asia or any well-known AV queen, but so many of the queens in Japan are like a friend's sister (which is maybe why there are so many adult films made about 'sisters').
Yuka is exactly that kind of girl -- a friend's sister, a buddy's girlfriend, or the girl next door. Unlike American AV stars she doesn't have that hooked up, over the top look like she just walked through the local Sex'R'Us chain store and bought every kinky item she could find, just because she could -- not even on screen. Granted this DVD has her hooked up in a fine lingerie outfit (oh my god!) and sailor fuku, but they are used as something special, not something you see everyday.
This DVD has those great moments you want your AV movies to have. I in particular am put over the top by well done girl-on-top sex, car sex, lingerie and doggie style sex. This DVD had it all! And where it really shines is the erotic, jaw-grinding scenes of Yuka taking her man in, and loving it! The lotion play -- while I'm not a real fan as it seems overly messy and not very practical -- was done well, something about it made my spine tingle. Next, the live-on-tv video was mind-bending! Watching Yuka watching herself as she fondling and played with herself was perfect. I wanted to be there. I wanted to watch and touch and caress. She really knows her own body.
I think my favorite part of the whole performance was the car sex. I am absolutely in love with the idea of it! Cruisin' down the long measures of twisting Tokyo pavement with a girl on your lap...literally. Why don't they do something like that in L.A.? Those long strips of freeway are perfect for it. Drive along about 10 miles or so, and then get off (the freeway), find another area up ahead and get back on. Staying one step ahead of the CHP (California Highway Patrol) would be important. In Japan, cops cars are so infrequent, that they are rarely seen. (And there aren't any doughnuts shops for them to gather at.) In California, you see them everywhere.
Finally, the lingerie...oh, the lingerie. With her lithe beauty, small breasts, endearing smile, bright eyes and long hair, Yuka is an angel. I don't need silicon implants or clit rings to turn me on, just a girl with a proportionate body and a sincere smile. Seeing Yuka in the red and black, and the lace, it drove me pleasantly mad with a combination of fantasies and half remembered memories I won't go into.
As for what I didn't like, well, I'm not particularly fond of cosplay (unless it's military/camouflage, cyberpunk, or really just tripped out -- school uniforms...ehn) so the whole "high school girl" theme wasn't anything that got me going. While the girl-on-top sex seemed a little plain vanilla to me, I enjoyed it nonetheless. I think I found it a bit so-so really because I'm a bit paticular about it. Frankly, it's never worth it to expect every DVD to have every thing just perfect. It's just not going to happen. I hear too many people complain about particulars. Well, there's always room for improvement, so if you can make the movie, I'm willing to review it.
Overall, I have to give this DVD a top rating. It was sexually arousing, sexy, cute, and long. I think that's important today. It's easy to put together a 1-hour AV flick, but most companies steer away from it now. Too many competitors can put out 4 hour remix DVDs. Old footage granted, but when it's all the best scenes at a low price, it can't be beat. So with this title at a good three hours, it provides endless entertainment replay and even just causual viewing. Great DVD! Highly recommended.
